The Dead Sea Scrolls

Dead Sea Scrolls is an invaluable findings. An relics that two thousand years of history contains many important documents (especially the story of the days of the Prophet). The codex also contains a secret code that has not been solved completely. The experts have previously found evidence of several copies of the book were written Hebrew-speaking Jews in the post-AD (approximately 1,300 years ago). But the Dead Sea Scrolls by carbon tests conducted by experts from Chicago, USA, showing the material used as the media script writing was inferred from the past 200 or so years before Christ.


The researchers found that the manuscript has not been identified among the Dead Sea Scrolls. The text is considered as unreadable Scrolls Monastery (Temple Scroll), which contains the rules and laws of the Pentateuch known as part of the first five books of the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament.


These include the Book of Discipline Community Rule describes bagimana housed the community at Qumran organizing spiritual life. Then there is the part that describes the Road Safety (The Way) and the battle between the Son of Light (Son of Light) against the Son of Darkness (Son of Darkness), which contains a detailed plan that anticipated final battle Qumran community.


More about the Scrolls contain various prayers, hymns, the comments about the parts of the Bible, legend, prophecy, reliji argument, and the unknown stories that relate to the characters listed in the Hebrew Bible.


Khirbet Qumran
Archeologists found a monastery site is approximately 540 meters from the hole first cave discovered the Dead Sea Scrolls. They were identified as Khirbet Qumran monastery.



Khirbet Qumran sect is a community that is very strictly follow the teachings of the prophet in the days before Jesus Christ. They tend to isolate themselves from social life and work on the content of the books of the Old Testament, life with devotion to the sect, chanting prayers, worship and copy the old books.


At the site of this monastery found objects related to writing. Were found 2 pieces of ink pots, some stylus (a kind of ancient writing instruments pen made from pieces of bone, stone, or special materials), and an urn which is exactly the same as the jars were found in the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls storage.



Based on the research and laboratory testing, these ancient objects were made around the year 68 AD. In one of the parchment manuscript written at the time that the Legion of the Roman Empire controlled the area west of the Dead Sea (now Palestine and Israel). The priest at the abbey had to hide some text into a cave on the banks of the Dead Sea.


Most of the documents written in Hebrew (Hebrew-Jewish) even document disguised so small to the size of a postage stamp. Then there is also a script written in Ancient Greek (Septuagint).


Findings and territories around the Qumran monastery, there's about 500 books, including the Old Testament. But could not be determined whether they are related to the Essenes sect, the Ancient Jews, and followers of Jesus Christ (Christian). All still remains a mystery.
